MY MISSION

To heal church hurt and release fear-based beliefs and patterns, so you can live every moment in direct relationship with your God.

Not as a Sunday ritual or a mountaintop experience, but as an everyday, embodied reality.

From fear-based faith to the revelation of Heaven within.

I was raised in a blue-collar Catholic neighborhood outside of Detroit. Church was solemn. Heavy and scary.

Every Sunday we chanted, “Lord, I am not worthy…” And as a child, I believed it.

Every Sunday we stared at a suffering Jesus hanging on the cross, gasping for breath, making it plain and clear that God demands sacrifice and suffering.

I was taught that God punishes, condemns, and decides who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

By the time I was seven years old, I was already certain I was headed straight for hell.

That kind of theology does something to a child’s nervous system. It creates fear, shame, and a deep sense of unworthiness that follows you into adulthood.

I was sexually abused within the Catholic Church. The trauma was unspoken, unprocessed, and unnamed. Like so many, I carried it silently, and it eventually expressed itself through addiction.

From Addiction to Awakening

At 24 years old I landed in a 12-step treatment center in Val David, Canada, with one clear message from my counselor:

“You need to get a new God and learn to forgive… or you will die.”

That moment cracked my life wide open. Addiction recovery didn’t just save my life, it became the foundation of my calling. I got sober. I found a God I could love. And I’ve spent every day since helping others do the same.

THE PATH (SO FAR)

Once I walked out of that treatment center, I didn’t just “get back to life”, I traveled the world seeking truth — from the ashrams of India to shamanic ceremonies in Costa Rica, from London to Los Angeles. I sat in sacred psychedelic journeys, walked labyrinths, prayed in temples, and studied scripture with a hunger to know God more intimately.

I became an ordained minister and founded two thriving spiritual communities — Bodhi Spiritual Center in Chicago (growing it from a handful of members to thousands) and Living the Course, a global virtual ACIM community.

Along the way, I discovered my deepest gifts:

Channeling healing and truth from the Holy Spirit in real-time
Seeing the divine blueprint in others (even when they can’t)
Teaching through direct, transformative experience, not just words



PROFESSIONAL BIO

Mark Anthony Lord is a spiritual teacher and ordained minister whose work integrates mystical spirituality with grounded, lived experience. For more than 25 years, he has led communities, taught thousands through A Course in Miracles, and created transformational programs grounded in metaphysics, spiritual psychology, and a living relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and other awakened teachers.

Before devoting his life fully to spiritual work, Mark had a successful career in the arts as a professional dancer and choreographer, including a three-year tenure at Disney. He later founded two spiritual communities: Bodhi Spiritual Center in Chicago, which grew from a small gathering into a thriving community of thousands, and Living the Course, a global virtual ACIM community.

Mark is the author of The Seven Living Words: A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Seven Last Words of Jesus and Thou Shall Not Suffer: 7 Steps to a Life of Joy. His teaching is known for moving beyond concepts into direct experience, helping people heal their relationship with God, themselves, and others.

He is the creator of The God Immersion Program, a structured devotional journey designed to restore a direct, daily relationship with the Divine and dissolve fear-based ideas about God.

Mark’s work is grounded, experiential, and relational, guided by a deep trust in the Holy Spirit and a commitment to helping people reclaim spiritual freedom, inner authority, and a lived connection with God.
